Dr. Jhumur Ghosh boasts a distinguished career spanning over 14 years in Medicine and 10 years in the specialized field of Hepatology, where she has made a significant mark as the first female hepatologist of Bangladesh. Dr. Ghosh holds an MBBS degree from Ibrahim Medical College (BIRDEM) and an MD in Hepatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). During her illustrious professional journey, Dr. Ghosh served as a consultant at the US Bangla Medical College Hospital for four years, where she honed her skills as an Interventional Endoscopist, having performed thousands of Endoscopies and Colonoscopies with remarkable success. Dr. Ghosh's dedication to the field of hepatology saw her rise to the rank of Assistant Professor of Hepatology from 2017 to 2020, followed by an appointment as an Associate Professor of Hepatology at the prestigious M H Samorita Hospital and Medical College, where she currently serves. Dr. Ghosh have earned two international awards from India and Indonesia for her work on fatty liver research. She has also been an active participant in numerous national and international hepatology conferences in Bangladesh, India, Singapore, Indonesia, and beyond. She has over 14 articles which published in both national and international journals. Dr. Ghosh is an esteemed member of several leading medical associations, including the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL), American College of Gastroenterology (MACG), South Asian Association for the Study of the Liver (SAASL) - Women in Hepatology Forum, and Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Bangladesh (ASLDB), where she currently serves as the Female Welfare Secretary. Dr. Ghosh has extensive expertise in the treatment of various liver-related disorders such as Jaundice, Ascites, Viral Hepatitis, Fatty Liver Disease, Liver Cirrhosis, Liver Cancer, Wilson's Disease, Hepatic Tuberculosis, Hemochromatosis, and Autoimmune Liver Disease. Additionally, she has also treated several gastrointestinal conditions such as Abdominal Pain, Constipation, Dysentery, Diarrhea, Gastric Ulcer, Gastric Cancer, Abdominal Tuberculosis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and Pancreatitis, among others.
